ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

In this workshop, we will explore the various aspects of mental illness and its impact on individuals and their loved ones. We will delve into the importance of empathy, active listening, and non-judgmental support, creating a safe and understanding environment for those in need.

Through interactive discussions and practical exercises, you will gain insights into the unique experiences and perspectives of individuals with mental illness. Our experienced therapist and facilitator, Desiree Guyton, will guide you through effective communication techniques and teach you how to establish boundaries while providing support.       Desiree Guyton, MDiv, LPC, is an esteemed trauma therapist and coach known for her expertise in complex trauma, ADHD, anxiety, depression, parent-child conflict, etc.

      She is the CEO and founder of Healing Quest Counseling Villages, LLC, a private practice, and Healing Patterns Communities, LLC, an online coaching and healing space. 

      She is a licensed professional counselor (LPC), certified clinical trauma professional (CCTP), and approved certified supervisor (ACS). Desiree served as an adjunct professor at Mission Seminary. She holds a Bachelor's Degree, Master of Divinity, and Master of Arts in Counseling. Also, she is co-author of Healing the Wounds of Generational Trauma.
